Hotel Week Dilemma, Chapter6

It confused Amy as to why she woke up at a very early time. Indeed, she was earlier than the other's. She wondered why, but remembered when she heard someone else sleeping beside her. Sonic.

As she said last night, she'd talk about their problem this morning. Amy was drunk at the time, she definitely had no idea what went on her head. Though now, she knows what she wants to do.

"I didn't talk about it last night, I'm definitely not doing it now." whispered Amy to herself.

She slowly lifted the sheets on top of her and stands up from bed. Without taking a shower, she wore her socks, boots, and gloves.

As quick and quiet as she could be, she walked straight to the door. Halfway to her destination, she looked back at the hedgehog who slept. She noticed that the blanket was all on her side of the bed, while Sonic shivered throughout the whole night.

"He gave all his blankets, to make me warm…?"

As much as she hated him, she couldn't leave him shivering until the whole morning. So she walked back to the bed, and carefully threw it over Sonic's body. His breathing became less short, and soon became peaceful again. She sighed.

Once done, Amy walked back out of the room and headed to the elevators. She pressed on the 'Ground Floor' button. Once the doors opened, she walked straight to the café since it was the only place open at the time.

She was once again avoiding him. This time, it was for other reasons. Last night she panicked when Sonic said that. She expected herself to run after him after a few more days, but Sonic wanted to befriend her before she wanted him too. She wasn't ready to love him yet. Amy didn't know if what she feels for him is still bad, or back to good again.

After a few more cups of coffee, she still sat down in that café restaurant alone, gathering all her thoughts. All of a sudden, another couple walked in unexpectedly. A couple se was very familiar with. They held hands when they walked in, smiling at each other in the process. She sighed, seeing her dreams happening to someone else's lives. Finally having the courage to confront them, she stood from her chair, and waved her hand up high. "Knuckles, Rouge, over here!"

The couple who showed affection had their attention's taken from Amy. Rouge smiled, then led Knuckles to Amy's table. "Ames, why are you up this early in the morning.?"

"Umm, just up for some coffee… I guess…" said Amy, a tone of nervousness well heard on her voice.

Knuckles know of Amy's problem. He thought that this was what she's thinking of now, so he decided to talk about it. "Amy, how are you two and Sonic…?"

The lilac cat on the mirror looked disturbed at what she looked like. She turned on the water, and washed her face, getting rid of what was left on her face last night. Which was make up.

Blaze saw a white figure on the mirror, then looked behind her. She saw Silver standing at the door. She smiled nervously, wondering how ugly she thought she looked in front of him.

"Heh, I know, I'm a mess…"

"Actually…"

He approached her, which made Blaze blush madly. "You shouldn't hide a gorgeous face behind make up…"

She felt small tears from the inside of her eyelids, ready to go out. 'You have no idea how much I've waited for you to say that…' thought Blaze.

She snapped back into reality when he had his hand in the side of her face. She had her eyes half closed, and held the hand in her face. She felt like she was losing reality again, when she was starting to lean towards him, and him doing the same. They closed their eyes, and had their lips ready to lock with each other.

"Silver, Blaze, you in here?"

A knock was heard, which made the couple open their eyes in shock. They realized that there was almost no gap between them, so both of them backed away quickly. Blaze facing the mirror again, and Silver leaving the room to answer the door. "Shadow…?"

Shadow stood outside, with his quills still messy. Obviously, he just woke up. "Everyone is gonna be downstairs for breakfast. Just thought you'd know…"

Tikal appeared behind Shadow, getting ready to attack. She cupped her hands, then covered Shadow's eyes. She laughed. "Guess who…?"

He smiled, and touched her hands with his own. "Hmm… are you an orange echidna?"

"Mmm, maybe…hehe.."

"Do you snore whenever you sleep?"

"Hey, I don't snore!" Shadow took her hands off his eyes, and faced her. "I know you don't, I'm kidding…"

She laughed, then playfully punched him in his shoulder. "Should we wait for them to go down with us?"

"No need," said Blaze who appeared out of nowhere. "We're already done here, right Silver?"

Silver nodded, then closed the door behind him. "Rouge texted me that Knuckles and Amy are down there already…" said Shadow.

"What about Sonic…?" asked Silver. "Sleeping, I guess. Amy probably didn't wanna bother waking him up."

Blaze looked at Silver with worry. "We'll wake him up. You two go down and start without us."

"…and that's why I'm avoiding him. I don't know what to do with our 'problem' yet. What do you two think?"

The bat who was resting on Knuckles' arms, looked up to the echidna. Knuckles looked back at her, then looked at Amy again. "Amy, I know Sonic. He's my best friend, and I know that he's been as upset as you are. If you didn't talk to him soon, then you're gonna break him."

"I'm with Knuckles here, Amy. Plus, you shouldn't wait for him to talk about it. If you want to end it soon, then do it now." said Rouge.

Amy looked down at her lap, realizing how much Sonic was hurt for the past days. She stayed quiet until Rouge gave her a hug, while Knuckles placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Okay, I'll talk to him later…" said Amy, showing a small smile.
